This is a shot from the movie parasite. Orginally all the creature shots were planned as physical fx. However without the resources to use animatronics, they soon realised that glove puppets could not deliver the shots they needed. We could only afford a small team (three people including myself), and a small render farm (20 PCs only available over night). But in the end, the list of digtal FX shots exploded from only 10 to more than 150, and almost all the creature shots were done digitally.
